CASE STUDY: FEATURE FILM - OLD BOYS: WAY OF THE DRAGON

Old Boys was a short film made by two directors/musicians in Mainland China that became a viral hit. The came to us to produce all of the New York sequences and support for the Beijing shoot. They wanted to capture the gothic aspects of New York along with it's beautiful and most iconic views within the city on a fairly tight budget. 

In the end the film was the highest grossing film when it was released and also had spawned a hit song "Little Apple" that had over a Billion downloads and won the American Music Award for Most Popular International Song in 2014.

Key Successes

  • Provided Visas for over 30 Crew/Cast in several weeks

  • Blended a balanced mix of Chinese and NYC local crew

  • Streamlined NYC production system with Chinese system

  • Matched interior scenes shot in Beijing with exteriors and other scenes shot in New York

  • Smooth shoot and able to produce one day early and under 50% of the budget

CASE STUDY: COMMERCIAL - CDG

The Agency for Portugese bank Caixa de Geral wanted to shoot a story in New York City in stunning and prime locations and with camera car shots through Midtown Manhattan with only 2 days of preparation.  Nothing is impossible in our book so we took it on. 

The Clients were extremely happy with the final spot and it aired throughout Portugal.

Key Successes

  • Along with successfully produced shoot, we provided VIP Services for Banking and Advertising executives from overseas
  • Found "impossible" locations in 2 days and those that we could not obtain we found creative yet legal ways to capture them

CASE STUDY: LIVE EVENT - WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

Key successes

  • Produced over 60 live video webcasts with world political leaders over the course of 5 days.
  • Created a 10 minute highlights video from hundreds of hours of conference, interview and B-Roll footage

 

CASE STUDY: DOCUMENTARY - KOBE BRYANT FAREWELL

Documentary shot the day before and on the day of Kobe Bryant's retirement for Chinese Sports company iRENA.  Covered fans and farewell events with Kobe, teammates, coaches, friends and fans.

Was a successful event for iRENA and was covered on CNN.
